When you sail north from Dominica to Antigua, there’s a magnificent island to leeward that has an almost permanent wreath of cloud around its summit. It’s Montserrat and the active volcano that still leaks steam. There’s an exclusion zone and much of the island is still coated in a thick layer of ash from this very active beast. From a distance though, I could see none of this, just the beauty of the setting sun over one of Mother Nature’s wonders…
