Tres Hombres sunrise

£245.00

A sailor called Sandy sent this to me for this project. Amazing story.

“Sharing this photo from one of my hardest sailing trips.

Sunrise after a harrowing few days on Tres Hombres, an engineless sail cargo ship. We were making our way through the Bay of Biscay and after days of storms in gale force winds, this was the first calm morning.

When the next watch crew came above deck, we all stood silently watching the sun rise. It was one of the most cathartic experiences of my life. I felt so connected to my crew, so grateful for their tireless efforts, patience, and for the safety of a well built ship.”

Oil on board, 30cm x 20cm, framed in a pale softwood tray frame, ready to hang.

Also available unframed - please message me.
