Often in my dreams I am walking along a beach that I recognise, looking for shells, listening to the waves crashing. I think I am probably half awake and half asleep because I can hear the waves from the bed so I may not be dreaming them…

This is a memory and a dream of Margate main sands, with a little nod to JMW Turner.

This painting is mixed acrylic media on canvas. It stands up on its own so you could pop it on a shelf or bookcase, or alternatively hang it somewhere special. The canvas sides are painted a mustardy yellow.

15cm x 15cm x 4cm, cotton canvas on a wooden stretcher. Varnished and finished with cold wax.
