Warm Front Approaching (Minnis Bay)

£2,550.00

If you look closely, you can see the Reculver Towers on a distant headland. They have stood since 597AD, serving as a landmark for shipping and a deterrent to invaders. They are visible for miles and miles.

When the weather starts to get a bit misty and there are cirrus clouds up high, you know there is a warm front coming. Warm fronts mean rain, sometimes storms.

I loved painting this enormous piece. It is incredibly imposing and there is an element of trompe l’oeil about it, as if you could also cycle into this view - just like I did.

It took me a long time, painting in my apartment overlooking the sea in Margate. The skies there are extraordinarily beautiful - JMW Turner was on to something when he moved there.

It is a stunning piece - a real conversation starter.

Shipping of this work is available worldwide. I will arrange courier delivery within the UK of the painting still on its stretcher. For international shipping, you can also choose to have it taken off its stretcher and rolled, to be unrolled and re-stretched by your framer.
